The ultimate of our research is to constrain the age of the universe and understand cosmology. To do this, We try to measure the ages of old stellar populations, such as star clusters, nearby and distant galaxies, by means of the evolutionary population synthesis (EPS) technique. We are also interested in galaxy formation and evolution. In particular, we think Semi-analytic model can give a simple frame work to investigate those studies. Our current research interests can be categorized into seven families.

  • Stellar Evolution
  • Galaxy Evolution and Cosmology
  • UV Space Observation (GALEX: GALaxy Evolution eXplorer)
  • Population Synthesis
  • Semi-analytic Modelling
  • Chemical Evolution of Galaxy
  • Young Stars in Early-type Galaxies
  • Galaxy Merger Signature
